    This hotel is a short walk up a steep hill away from the main drag of Bowness. This also means that many rooms and the terrace bar have great views over lake Windermere and the Langdale Pikes prominent on the sky line. Excellent showers with copious hot water and an extensive buffet breakfast with high quality sausages bacon and black pudding. All ideal for serious walkers interested in mainly the SE fells.

    The staff are extremely courteous and made a good stay really good.
